‘Lutra’ is inspired by a chapter and verse in Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in The Willows. A baby otter vanishes after a hunt races through the riverbank. Ratty and Mole go to find him, after hearing the music coming in across the reeds. They follow the sounds and find the otter safe and sleeping, at the foot of Pan.
